Iron Lignohumate

Organic Iron and Humic–Lignin Technology for Crop Nutrition

Iron Lignohumate is a functional organic iron material developed and manufactured within China Lignin’s humic–lignin technology platform. It combines iron with humic substances and lignin-derived organic matter for use in crop nutrition, organic-mineral fertilizers, soil conditioners and specialty agricultural formulations.

Humic–Lignin Technology Platform

Iron availability in agricultural systems is influenced by soil pH, bicarbonate, irrigation water quality, rhizosphere conditions and interactions with other nutrients. GAC-FeLHA-S is designed as an organic iron input in which iron is associated with a matrix of humic substances and lignin-derived organics.

Integrated Organic Matrix

Combines iron, humic substances, lignin-derived organic matter and total organic matter in one formulation material.

Formulation Flexibility

Suitable for evaluation in powders, granules, compound fertilizers, soil conditioners and trace-element blends.

Manufacturing Control

Standardized around defined iron, moisture, particle-size, dispersibility and bulk-density parameters.

Product Characteristics

  • Organic iron source supported by humic and lignin-derived components.
  • Lignohumate content of 75% min for organic-mineral formulation development.
  • Supplied as granules or powder for blending and granulation.
  • 100% water-soluble for process and application flexibility.
  • Compatible with technical customization and batch quality documentation.

Agricultural Applications

Organic-Mineral Fertilizers

Organic iron and humic–lignin input for powder or granular fertilizer development.

Specialty Crop Nutrition

For formulation programs where iron supply and organic components are evaluated together.

Soil Conditioners

For soil-oriented formulations requiring humic substances, lignin-derived organics and iron.

Compound Fertilizers

Fine-powder component for blending, granulation and trace-element enrichment.

Trace-Element Blends

Can be assessed alongside other micronutrient and organic fertilizer materials.

Formulation Development

Formulation TypeSuggested Laboratory / Pilot Starting Range
Organic-mineral fertilizer2–8%
Soil conditioner3–10%
Compound fertilizer1–5%
Granule coating or functional layer0.5–3%

These ranges are formulation-development starting points, not universal field application rates. Final use level should be established through compatibility testing, process trials and crop-specific agronomic validation.

Technical Considerations

Iron Lignohumate is not automatically equivalent to Fe-EDTA, Fe-DTPA or Fe-EDDHA. Material selection should reflect soil or substrate pH, bicarbonate level, crop sensitivity, application method and formulation compatibility.

Selection FactorTechnical Review
Soil / substrate conditionsReview pH, carbonate and bicarbonate conditions.
Application routeConfirm suitability for soil, fertigation, blending, granulation or coating process.
CompatibilityTest with phosphates, calcium sources, micronutrients, binders and process water.
Performance targetDefine whether the priority is iron supply, organic-matter contribution, soil interaction or combined functionality.

Product Development Options

  • Target iron content and organic-matter profile.
  • Humic-substance and lignin-derived organic specifications.
  • Particle-size distribution and water dispersibility.
  • Powder, granulation-support or coating applications.
  • Private label, export packaging and customer specification alignment.

Quality Control

Production and release controls can include raw-material identity, iron content, lignohumate content, fulvic acids, moisture, pH and water solubility. Batch traceability and retained quality records support consistent supply.
