Ferrous Lignohumate

Ferrous Iron–Lignohumate Micronutrient for Agricultural Formulation

Ferrous Lignohumate is a yellow-brown micronutrient powder combining approximately 1–3% ferrous iron with a minimum 55% lignohumate matrix. It is distinct from the higher-iron GAC-FeLH 4 grade and is intended for specification-led foliar, soil and irrigation fertilizer development.

Product Technology

GAC-FeLS provides a lower ferrous-iron assay, acidic-to-neutral pH range and low insoluble matter. Grade selection should reflect iron requirement, soil pH, bicarbonate, water quality and application route.

Ferrous Iron Grade

Approximately 1–3% ferrous iron.

Low Insoluble Matter

Maximum 1% water-insoluble matter.

Distinct Product Grade

Separate from GAC-FeLH 4 and synthetic chelates.

Product Characteristics

  • Yellow-brown powder.
  • High dry matter and controlled moisture.
  • Minimum 55% lignohumate.
  • Acidic-to-neutral pH range.
  • Defined density for process calculations.

Applications

Foliar Fertilizer Development

For crop-safe iron formulation trials.

Irrigation Fertilizers

For compatible filtered systems after bicarbonate and precipitation testing.

Soil Iron Programs

For analysis-led iron nutrition concepts.

Organic-Mineral Blends

For powder and compound fertilizers requiring a lower-iron grade.

Application Development

Application RouteDevelopment Requirement
Foliar formulationVerify crop safety, concentration and tank-mix compatibility.
Irrigation systemsReview bicarbonate, filtration, oxidation and precipitation risk.
Soil applicationSelect grade and rate from pH, crop and iron analysis.
Dry blendsVerify assay uniformity, density and segregation control.

No universal field rate is stated. Establish final dosage through compatibility, process, regulatory, crop, soil and field validation.

Technical Considerations

  • This product is not equivalent to Fe-EDTA, Fe-DTPA or Fe-EDDHA.
  • Ferrous iron can oxidize; verify storage and formulation stability.
  • High pH and bicarbonate can reduce iron availability.
  • Keep this lower-iron grade distinct from GAC-FeLH 4.

Quality Control

Release controls cover appearance, pH, dry matter, insoluble matter, sulphate, ferrous iron, lignohumate, density and moisture.
