Zinc lignosulfonate (GAC-ZnLS) is a water-soluble zinc-lignosulfonate micronutrient supplied as a yellow-brown powder for foliar-spray and irrigation fertilizer formulations. This guide reviews the supplier-reported technical data and the checks needed before formulation or field use.
Supplier-Reported Technical Data
| Parameter | TDS value | Interpretation note |
| Appearance | Yellow-brown powder | Confirm physical form on receipt. |
| Dry matter | 95% min | Use an actual batch result for calculations. |
| Sulfate | 2% min | Source minimum notation retained; confirm reporting basis. |
| Total zinc | Approximately 1% | Approximate total-content reference, not a minimum, soluble-Zn assay or plant-availability result. |
| Lignosulfonate | 50% min | Confirm analyte definition and test method. |
| Moisture | 7% max | Interpret together with dry matter using consistent methods and an actual batch COA. |
These are typical production values for reference, not binding specifications. Obtain an agreed current specification and an actual batch COA before acceptance.
Applications
This grade is intended for foliar-spray and irrigation fertilizer formulations, including programs where zinc is applied alongside urea, ammonium sulfate, DAP or MAP. Zinc is a plant micronutrient involved in soil buffering, nutrient availability and general crop growth; these are general plant-nutrition roles of zinc, not a guarantee of a specific yield or fruit-quality outcome for this grade. Total zinc content does not by itself establish water-soluble fraction, chelation status or crop availability. Suitability, dosage and compatibility for a given formulation should be confirmed through formulation trials for the intended system rather than assumed from this general description.
