Sodium lignosulfonate price is meaningful only when the quotation identifies the grade, physical form, quantity, delivery basis and date. For agricultural formulations, compare the cost of material that passes your qualification tests rather than treating an undated global price range as a purchasing benchmark.
This page explains quotation comparison, not a live market index. Request a current offer for the agricultural sodium lignosulfonate grade needed by your formulation. Published historical prices without a traceable grade and delivery basis should not be used as current offers.
Make the quotations comparable first
| Quotation item | What must match or be reconciled |
|---|---|
| Product identity | Commercial grade, document revision, powder or liquid form and agreed acceptance requirements |
| Quantity and packaging | Net product mass, bag or bulk-container format, pallet arrangement and loading requirements |
| Commercial basis | Currency, dated validity, named delivery place and agreed trade term |
| Delivery costs | Freight, insurance and other included or excluded charges |
| Quality evidence | Sample identity, current TDS, exact-product SDS and batch COA |
Do not compare a liquid concentrate price per delivered tonne with a powder price per tonne without accounting for composition. Likewise, dry solids are not necessarily active lignosulfonate: salts and other components may be included in the dry residue.
A transparent dry-solids calculation
Calculation rule: delivered dry-solids mass = delivered product mass × measured solids mass fraction. Cost per unit of dry solids = cost on the chosen delivery basis ÷ delivered dry-solids mass. Use consistent currencies, units and included charges.
| Illustrative input | Calculation | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 kg of a hypothetical liquid at 40% dry solids by mass | 1,000 × 0.40 = 400 kg dry solids | The delivered mass includes 600 kg of non-dry material |
| 1,000 kg of a hypothetical powder at 95% dry solids by mass | 1,000 × 0.95 = 950 kg dry solids | The dry-solids denominator differs from that of the liquid |
These are arithmetic examples only. The percentages are not specifications for an offered Green Agrochem grade, actual COA results or recommendations. Dry-solids normalization alone does not establish equivalent active content or application performance. Obtain the exact-grade analytical basis before using this calculation in a real comparison.
Compare validated use cost next
A lower normalized material price does not necessarily produce the lower formulation cost. Compare the qualified addition level, dissolution and mixing requirements, drying load, usable output and any measured processing losses. Include only differences supported by your trial or operating records; do not assume a universal savings percentage.
For fertilizer granulation, define acceptable granule strength, abrasion and dissolution before comparing candidates. For suspension formulations, define settling, redispersibility, viscosity and filtration criteria. The fertilizer formulation guide explains these application checks. Do not lower the required acceptance standard merely to obtain a cheaper raw material.
Why prices can differ between offers
Differences may reflect grade processing, physical form, analytical requirements, packaging, order size, logistics or commercial terms. There is no universal rule that liquid is always the cheapest delivered option, that a particular country is always cheaper, or that ordering in a certain season guarantees a discount.
Ask the supplier to explain the actual offer. Confirm quote validity and estimated availability at the time of ordering. A test report or quality-system certificate should be checked for issuer and scope; it is not proof that every product property or agricultural use has been approved.
Send the information needed for a useful quotation
Provide the required function, formulation type, delivery form, acceptance tests, trial and order quantities, packaging, destination and requested delivery date. The agricultural powder purchasing guide covers sample and document qualification in more detail.
Send enquiries to info@greenagrochem.com. A dated, grade-specific offer and a validated formulation provide a more useful basis for purchasing than an unsupported market average.
